- 配製方法
1. Suspend 37.5 grams of the medium and add to 1 liter of purified water.
2. Heat with frequent agitation and boil for one minute to completely dissolve the medium.
3. Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.
4. Cool to 45-50°C and agitate gently to ensure uniform distribution of the flocculant precipitate which is a
feature of this medium before pouring into Petri dishes.
5. STORE IN THE DARK.

- 紅亞甲藍培養基(L-EMB)主要用於分離和鑑別大腸桿菌菌株。
- 大腸桿菌可將此培養基的乳糖發酵,並產生酸,使伊紅Y (eosin Y)和亞甲藍(methylene blue)產生醯胺鍵(amide bond),故大腸桿菌的菌落型態呈現暗紫色、扁平、帶有或不帶有金屬光澤。
